Get answers to common questions about Chin Waxing.
Most clients enjoy smoothness for three to six weeks depending on hair growth cycles and hormones. Aftercare, exfoliation and regular appointments can extend intervals as hair becomes finer and regrowth slows over time.
Some sensitivity is normal, but chin waxing is quick and discomfort usually brief. We apply numbing creams on request and use calming products and correct technique to minimize pain and redness afterward.
Arrive with clean, makeup-free skin and hair at least a quarter-inch long for effective removal. Avoid exfoliating or waxing elsewhere 24–48 hours before, and inform us of medications or skin treatments.
Waxing can reduce shaving-related ingrown hairs but may still cause some. We recommend gentle exfoliation after 48 hours, use of non-comedogenic moisturizers, and follow-up treatments to prevent and treat ingrown hairs.
Waxing removes hair from the root for longer-lasting smoothness, compared with shaving's quick stubble. Threading offers precision but may miss coarse or regrowth-prone hairs; choose based on comfort and desired longevity.
Chin waxing can suit many skin types, but a consultation and patch test are recommended for sensitive skin, acne, eczema, or those using retinoids. We advise disclosing medications and recent treatments before service.
