Sensation varies by person, but most describe waxing as quick and tolerable—a brief sting or tug. Experienced technicians use proper technique to minimize discomfort. Topical numbing creams can be discussed if you have low pain tolerance.

For best results, allow hair to be about 1/4 inch long, avoid heavy sun exposure and self-tanning beforehand, and arrive clean and dry. Avoid exfoliating the day of the appointment and wear loose clothing for comfort post-wax.

Yes, but inform your technician about sensitivities or active acne. We can perform a patch test and tailor products and technique. We may avoid waxing directly over inflamed or open acne lesions to prevent irritation or infection.

Avoid hot baths, saunas, heavy exercise, and sun exposure for 24 hours. Use a soothing, fragrance-free moisturizer or aloe and skip exfoliation for 48 hours. Avoid harsh products like retinoids immediately after waxing to prevent irritation.

We do not recommend waxing over sunburn, open wounds, active infections, or recently peeled/treated skin. Certain medications like isotretinoin and recent chemical peels may contraindicate waxing—disclose medications and recent treatments during booking.
