Frequently Asked Questions

Get answers to common questions about Stomach Waxing.

Most clients enjoy smooth, hair-free stomachs for about three to six weeks. Timing depends on individual hair growth cycles, hormones, and skin type. Regular waxing gradually slows regrowth, so intervals may lengthen over time with consistent appointments and proper aftercare.

Sensation varies—most describe brief, moderate discomfort that eases quickly. We use gentle wax formulas, expert technique, and calming measures like steady breathing. To minimize pain, avoid waxing when extremely sunburned or on certain medications, and consider taking an over-the-counter pain reliever beforehand.

Ideal hair length is about a quarter inch (6-7 mm) so the wax can grip effectively. If hair is longer, we'll trim; if it's too short, wait roughly two to three weeks for sufficient regrowth before booking.

Avoid waxing over open wounds, sunburn, active rashes, severe eczema, or recently treated skin (chemical peels, lasers). Certain medications like isotretinoin or blood thinners may also prohibit waxing—consult your technician or healthcare provider for personalized guidance.

Arrive with clean, dry skin and natural hair length around a quarter inch. Avoid heavy creams, tanning, or exfoliating within 24-48 hours beforehand. If you take medications that affect skin sensitivity, inform your technician in advance.

Aftercare includes avoiding hot baths, saunas, and intense exercise for 24 hours to prevent irritation. Use soothing, fragrance-free aloe or lotion and avoid exfoliation for 48 hours. Gently exfoliate after two to three days to reduce ingrown hairs.
